If your request is for funds to attend an event:

If your request is for a grant to assist with a community project, the sponsoring organization should have federal nonprofit status as a registered 501(c)(3)
organization. Proof of that will be required. Please call if you have questions regarding this status. On a separate sheet, explain what your project is and how it will benefit your community. Also, submit an estimate of how much whatever you are requesting a grant for will cost (For Example: If you wanted to help a group learn to value their community by helping to pick up trash, and you wanted 10 safety vests at a cost of $7 ea. that would be $70.). Therefore, you would request a grant to cover or help cover those expenses. ATTACH A COPY OF THIS FORM TO THE FRONT OF YOUR REQUEST. Current grant amounts range up to $750.00. Should you be awarded the grant, you will be required to provide proof (receipts, pictures, etc.) that grant funds were used for the purpose requested.
**If The Rural Project is able to provide any financial assistance, a check will be mailed to you made payable to the Organization.
